INTRODUCTION:
Hello fellow F1GP/F1GP-Ed user :)
Since registering to Oliver Roberts' excellent editor I have been
transforming my version of F1GP to how I've always wanted it. From
v3.00, aswell as updating the driver/team data, I have been
concentrating on designing a professional looking replacement
cockpit image for the game, as I hated the dated original.
I had seen many cockpits created by other F1GP-Ed users but to me
they seemed very cartoony and were inaccurately drawn, far from
what I wanted. My aim was to create a neat, realistic, up-to-date
design.
The inspiration for my design includes the PC F1GP & GP2 cockpits,
the in-car graphic used in the N64 game "F1 World Grand Prix",
various photos and on-board footage during ITV's F1 Coverage.
FEATURE LIST:
* Modern cockpit shape, with head-protection sides
* Cut-off "MOMO" carbonfibre steering wheel with intergrated
driver-aid indicators, gear-padles & buttons
* New-style lights & switches
* Centralised digital gear indicators
* New "Mclaren" style pit light
* New "TAG tronic" r.p.m clock ( from 8,000 to 18,000 r.p.m !!!)
with fake fuel-gauge :)
* PC F1GP info-box boarder & GP2 replay logo
* New start-light system with "Marlboro F1" logo
* Image now easier to work with thanks to addition of yellow
masking
* Sports a more realistic palette (for v3.30+ users) based on the
PC game, "IndyCar Racing"

REMEMBER TO IMPORT THE IMAGES PALETTE INTO F1GP-ED

Enjoy!!!
(The image was created on an A1200/030/50mhz with a 1.3GIG HD & 10MB
RAM using Personal Paint 7.1 and a SCART TV)
